The newest 2022AW eyewear collections of EYEVAN and EYEVAN 7285 have both released! The design inspiration of EYEVAN’s latest offerings is based on the American vintage frames made in the 1920s, rebuilding the authentic as EYEVAN and evolving the classic vibes. While in EYEVAN 7285’s new design, we can observe the integration of subtle metal ornaments, adding modern new thoughts and industrial elements into classic shapes.
EYEVAN | ORBIT
From a 1930s catalogue inherited from the original design team, this rimless frame uses a double-flex strap construction based on the style used in American vintage at the time, in AG which a board is inserted between the end piece and the lens.Focus on frontal view design, the front part that holds the lens is designed to be integrated with the holding part that supports it from the side, without using screws. The material is pure titanium, which allows for more precise fitting of the temples.The engraving by craftsman is strongly engraved from the side of the end piece to the temple.

Based on the American vintage frames made in the 1920s, which were inherited from the original design team, the frames were made into what EYEVAN considers to be an authen- tic design today. This model is made without compromising on details, such as the characteristic rounded finish of the end piece and temple joints, and the structure of the bridge, which is stepped by cutting 6mm of acetate instead of using a curved mold, and the same style as in those days is reproduced by hand by skilled craftsman.

The inspiration came from glasses worn by members of alternative bands in the 90’s that the design team admired. A metal frame of classic panto shape made up of pattern-less bridge and temples, end-piece which screws are placed in parallel. The details are created with slight changes in shape, such as roundness and unevenness, to enhance the texture. Modern and minimal products that are an extension of vintage design. 2-base curved mineral lenses are used for the sunglasses.

A metal frame with the iconic 7285 stripes on the rim, end-piece and temple end. Wellington shape, which is brand new for a metal frame. The overall impression is one of perspective and freshness with bridge made up of two parts, front and rear, end-piece designed constructively from the front to the rear of the rim.

A distinctive style with voluminous brow parts. The temples are newly created wider that have not been seen in past models to match the frame front. The patterns are consisted of EYEVAN 7285 stripes only on the bridge and temple core and the design keeps minimal with using a convex shaped rim which is one of archive parts of EYEVAN 7285.
