RETROSUPERFUTURE reveals their third collaboration with A-COLDWALL* with new reworkings of Caro and America silhouettes for Spring/ Summer 2022. This season, the partnership further explores the intersection between A-COLDWALL*’s industrial heritage and the futuristic design ethos synonymous with RETROSUPERFUTURE eyewear.
The classic Caro frame retains the architectural qualities introduced by A-COLD-WALL* in it’s previous editions. Here, marble-like acetate links five distinct colourways, emboldening the geometric and stark character for which the style is known. Three monochrome iterations of the frame explore Brutalist textures akin to fragments of stone and sediments of chalk. The collection is then punctuated by two frames injected with volt lenses and flanked with matching crystal temple tips, nodding to the visual language that underpinned A-COLD-WALL*’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection. Each Caro frame is annotated with a unique style code printed across the lens, furthering establishing itself as an integral element within A-COLDWALL*’s intricate design system.
